| Are people using the gel as well or just the spray?

| I've only used the spray but I think next time I will try the gel -- the yorkies seem to dislike the spay sound. |

| I discovered this stuff at a grooming expo a couple weeks ago. There sales pitch was pretty convincing so we bought a batch to sell. I am going to try some on my larger mixed breed dog (I guess on my yorkies also). It appears to work if you believe the pictures and is all natural stuff. The biggest thing to me is the benefit of not having to subject your dog (and checkbook) to general anestisia. They said whether you use gel or spray is just personal preference but I feel like the gel might coat the teeth better. Also you don't have to brush the dogs teeth but the sales guy said for best results you should brush the teeth (they also sell cool double sided toothbrushes too). My larger dog needs a cleaning and even has some redness on her gums so she will make a good test subject. I will let you guys know how it goes.

| OK, my order of the spray (figured I would see how well the spray does before I order the gel as well) arrived last night. As always, both of my pups had to put up a bit of a fight when they realized I was holding a weird bottle and trying to open their mouths. Neither of them seemed to mind the taste of the spray though........it actually smells pretty good....nice and minty. I also sprayed a little on one of their chew toys and they spent the rest of the evening chewing on it. I will continue to brush their teeth with the paste I have, but if this stuff works as good as it says it does, then I will go for their gel as well. Thanks for posting about this.......I had never even heard of the stuff!

Please keep us posted. I hope it works as Sadie needs her buckys cleaned too, but I hate the thought of anesthesia. Thanks.

| I've just started using it since this thread was started, but personally I've found the gel is easier to work with. The cats won't let me get near 'em with any kind of spray bottle and Pixie won't keep her mouth open long enough for me to get it in there. With the gel, I just smear it on the front of the cats' teeth and they lick it all up (they hate it though). Pixie will actually just lick a glob of it off my finger, she seems to like it. I've been using it to brush her teeth too. Hopefully as long as I use this stuff, I'll never have to get her teeth cleaned.... |

| I just ordered some Gel - and am definitely going to give it a try. I have two dogs know to have "especially bad teeth" ... a Bichon and a Yorkie. If it "even helps," I'll be happy! ---------------- FYI - This is just information that was given on the site I bought it from..... ================================================== ====== One trick that is working fantastically is to put some gel on a saucer or plate and mix in a dab of peanut butter. Dogs love peanut butter and they lick the mixture and it coats their entire mouth and gums. The peanut butter is digested and our product is left in their mouth, this is very effective at bed-time. Keep all other food and water away and it will work it’s magic all night long! Pet owners have sprayed their dogs favorite chew toy or bone and this has worked for them. For small dogs all you do is pat a dab of gel on dogs lips and they lick into their mouth and product coats entire mouth and gums. For cats you can spray or use gel on favorite treat or mix in a dab of fish oil, or liver paste, or other favorite snacks that your cat likes. Remember, direct application is best with no dilution and occasional brushing , but these methods have been proven to work!! ================================================== === Carol Jean |

| I've been using it for about a week....I can DEFINITELY see a difference. Where the whole tooth was gunky, now maybe half is gunky. I am using the spray and the gel when I can get hold of her a little better and have the hubby's help. I use one spray on each side. I'll keep you posted, but so far, I highly recommend it. I got mine form Georgia at tobysnaturalpets.com.
