| Webster fell of the bed. Hi, This morning Webster was playing on my bed, he jumped up and down and all of sudden miss judged his up and down and jumped forward and fell on his head. I got such a fright, his cried and moaned for a while, his eyes were closed and he looked like he was fainting. I shaked him a little and gave him sugar water. After a while he opened the one eye and after about 10 minutes both eyes were open. He then drank the rest of the sugar water and seems fine now, but I was so worried. Should I still take him to the Vet to be checked out or just keep an eye on him? Is there something that I can keep in the house to give him if this happens again, Vet's are not always available for emergencies and I can not take the chance if something like this happens again. He loves playing on my bed. I will be more carefull from now on, he is only 10 weeks old. Thank you. Linda

| oh no..... awww, poor Webster....I can't give you any advice regarding what you should provide for your baby, but I just want to let you know that I am praying for Webster's health and fast recovery. Considering he's still a baby, maybe you should take him to the vet just in case....from what you're describing, it seems like he had quite a shock when he fell. I dont' know if Webster can jump up on the bed by himself, but with Mason, I only let him on the bed when we're going to sleep. The only time he gets on the bed is when I turn off the TV, turn out the lights, and get under the covers so he knows that we're ready to go nite-nite . Maybe you can restrict Webster's access to your bed so he doesn't get too hyper playing and miss a step again? Just a thought. Hope Webster is doing better today |

| Webster's fell of the bed. Thanks for the interest, I feel really bad for him, but he is his old self and I will be very carefull from now on. He can't jump on the bed, I picked him up while I was getting ready for work and he got all excited. He seems fine but I am going to take him to the Vet anyway, just incase. Can't be tooooooo carefull with this precious little creatures!!. Thanks for the support, sometimes you just need to know someone else knows what you're going through. I lost my previous doggie after 12 years and can't stand the thought of losing another so soon.

| great. Give us an update after your visit to the vet! And remember, it's very easy to blame ourselves for what happens to our babies....but all you can do is be careful - sometimes accidents happen. Don't be too hard on yourself ok? Mason sends his kisses! |

| Good idea! Better safe than sorry. I'm sorry to hear about what happened to him. The same thing almost happened to my Frankie (except Frankie ran over the edge!!!!!!!). Luckily, my husband caught him. I've never screamed like I did when he went over the edge in my life. |

| I had a very similar incident when we had just gotten bella. I told my son over and over not to put her on the bed (he has a high bed), sure enough he did it anyway, she fell off backwords, was bleeding from her nose, her head was turned she couldnt move her head or neck and her body was oddly contorted. I panicked!!! I was screaming and crying and freaking out all at once. She was back to her old self within 10-15 minutes, but I have never had such a horrible scare in my whole life. She is perfectly fine now and jumps on the bed herself, i cannot keep her off. I just think people she take it very seriously that these are very fragile little dogs and should be careful about letting them on their beds; especially when they are very young. |
