| In between meal snack ideas Hello, our yorkie is 15 weeks old and 4.4 lbs. She gets fed 3 times a day. What do you feed in between meals to help ward off hypoglycemia? |

| You do not need treats between meals, you can give a few kibbles (if that is what you feed her) instead of treats. Treats are to be earned, meaning, if you have started teaching her basic commands, sit, stay, down, wait, LEAVE IT. Reward with a treat and happy verbal praise when she gets her command right. Training should start early, 15 weeks is perfect age to begin, train one command 5 to 7 minutes several times throughout the day. Terriers have short concentration spans, more than 7 minutes they are no longer focused on you. When she knows that one command, move on to another command. Have fun, Cassie looks like a smart little puppy, if she is food motivated, she will learn fast.

| You shouldn’t really need to give anything but if you do I would think you either need to let them have more small meals or leave the food out all the time.
