| Raw Meaty bones? Looking for bones that qualify as raw meaty bones and I saw turkey and chicken necks. But I don't understand - what about salmonella? Do you give them raw? After freezing/defrosting? Also saw beef marrow bones but those are hard to find around here for some reason.. Need to get something for Mike for chewing and teeth health. Turns out I have a hard chewer at home and he is not interested in either nylabones and teeth cleaning ropes and only likes rawhide bones and sticks. But I want something more beneficial for him. |

| Don’t give him rawhides they are not a food product and not digestible. They swell in the stomach and end up causing blockages. They also are treated with formaldehyde. I also wouldn’t do anything raw in my classes and a few studies I have read I just don’t think it’s safe. One of the things is unless you put him in the bath and wash his face really good he is transferring all those germs to his water bowl and essentially everything he touches. No hide chews are a bit pricy but really great. I have also used cow ears, pork chomps, and smart bones.

| Thank you. Yes, I read that about rawhide, and I never ever let him eat/swallow any pieces, I give a new one once it gets soft. For 2 months when he was teething, a huge pack of rawhide sticks saved my life and helped with teething. Now that's over so I'm looking for healthier alternatives.. What are the no hide chews and smart bones? I haven't come across those one. Any specific brands I should look out for? |

| They look like rawhide but aren’t. No hide is currently Joey’s favorite but they can be a bit harder to find.

| Tried bully sticks, but not much choice in this department either. They smell the worst and gave him upset tummy I came across dogwood sticks yesterday? Does anyone give those to their furbabies? I didn't quite understand what are they made of. It's from US brand Petstages. |
