Yorkie Talker | Meat the first product in food About 6 weeks ago I took my 8 year old yorkie to the vet and while there for her vaccination I told him I thought she was belching alot after eating. I was feeding her wellness dry food. He put her on Hills Science Diet PerscriptionSensitive Stomach Food. The kibbles were large and after getting home I saw that it had corn but there was no meat just chicken meal. I had never had Science Diet and had read some not no good comments on the product. I kept her on it for about 3 weeks and saw a weight gain so I again slowly switched her back to Wellness Healthy Diet. I took her back for her second shot and he said I should have kept her on the food. I have not had a problem with the belching since putting her back on the wellness, but my concern is that the meat is not the first product and there is only chicken meal. |

| Science diet is an awesome food they have vets on staff, do feeding trails and have great quality control. Corn is certainly not evil and not terrible for dogs. If your dog did better on the Wellness then keep them on Wellness but Science diet is anything but a bad food. Most of the complaints you hear from people are biasing it just on ingredients and there is much more to a food and dogs need different things then us so what is great for us is not for dogs.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If she was belching etc - didn't the vet suggest you put her on Pepcid for reflux? Many dogs have reflux and it's so easy to treat w/ Pepcid. It's odd vet didn't mention this.
