| Wow, I buy Sylvia Tractor Supply brand of dog food. It's called 4Health Grain-Free Small Breed Formula Adult Dog Food and she 1/4 C 2x/day. Of course there are treats dispersed during the day too. And it's pretty economical, no smelly poop or urine. |

| Grandma Mae's Country Naturals I recently started feeding Lollie and Lacie Grandma Mae's Country Naturals. The girls look forward to mealtimes (even pickey eater Lacie) and are dong well. If online ratings are to be accepted as having value, Grandma Mae's has a rating from https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com. |

| I looked up Royal Canine, for Yorkies. Ingredient List All Garbage, fillers etc. And to top it off you are paying extremely high prices!!!!!!!! I am looking into Addiction Dry Dog Food, it is Holistic, the ingredients are good and it's only 22% protein, My Vet has told me for over 40 years Yorkies can not have protein level over 21-22% not good for their kidneys and liver, if you want them to live a long healthy life. Wellness has different ones also. I have to get a food with the Protein Target Rate of 21-22% protein. My Vet is very conservative and does not buy the whole no grain high protein that the companies are trying to ram down your throat. Look on Chewy.Com, I have found them to have the lowest prices, been using them for a long time. Great Customer Service!! |

| I have 3 friends that feed their dogs carrots and green beans - Casey likes them around for a few minutes and walks away. Here is an update I give Casey less food and after many talks with vets and breeder who all said dry food only!!! I finally got Casey on dry mix 1/2 with RC Yorkie and 1/2 with Health Extensions 50% less fat only 1/2 cup/ day and cut way back on treats now only give he a combo of CET stick, Mother Hubbard’s variety and Kisses coconut teeth and coat. Happy to say he went from 10.9 to 9.14 and is perfect he is back to my peppy lil guy - so am keeping this plan - ps I break everything in hf or as small As I can so he is happy getting a treat but is only getting a piece - I used to give him the whole treat several times a day. I had to hold out there was some whimpering the 1st few days but now all is well. He is FOUR and I finally settled on a food. It was my fault if he didn’t like it I changed it my pantry looked like dog food store. I am adding that this is what worked for my dog and the advice of my vet and breeder no human food at all (not enough vitamins and stuff they need) if ur cooking for your baby enjoy — I am following what the experts I know said .. good luck all and kisses to your fur babies 🐾 |

| I/D Low fat dry & canned My Milo who is 2 1/2 started out with high crystals in his urine. At 1 1/2 years he was on Hills CD food & that clear up his crystals. At his last vet appt he had high triglycerides, checked in 6 weeks...higher. At present I am transitioning Milo on the I/D Hills....& No, I don't like the sound of all of the ingredients but need to bring his levels down. Has anyone else had this experience? Before I consented to the first Hills CD...I tried Grandma Mae to see if that helped & it did not. In 6 weeks we will check his blood again...if no change...an internist. |

| Food is not about just ingredients. Things we think are great for us are not what’s great for our dogs because they need different stuff. The things that are more important are is there a vet nutritionist on staff, do they have good quality control and do they doing feeding trials. Great company’s that do that are Royal Canin, Wellness and hills/science diet. |

| I switch up Moxie's food, but generally stay grain free, away from brands with lots of filler (Royal Canin, etc) and generally stay away from kibble. I'm a fan of Stella and Chewy's, Weruva, and FreshPet. I will occasionally just feed her boiled chicken for a few days if need be. I use probiotics also. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Dog food I like Lifes Abundance. My 2 yorkies like it and are doing well on it. They have vet nutritionists . I have been feeding them the Fromm turkey and pumpkin pate. Their stools are normal. I thought by products in dog food was not ok. These foods do not have that. Check out lifes abundance on line. |

Be aware that the ingredients in the food may actually be what is making your babies ill The manufacturers MUST cook the food at extremely high temperatures that it actually destroys many of the products. Pet food must maintain a shelf life for a minimum of 2 years. AKC.org lists foods that are safe for dogs the eat. If you wish to make certain your fur friends are getting the correct foods you might want to start there. Be certain to ask a holistic vet the correct amounts to give your baby. My vet was not a holistic vet and stated dogs cannot eat bones in any form. Then I read the bag ingredients list and guess what I found in the food. Before the 1930's ALL dogs were fed people food. I still feed my animals people food. I do also use pet food but I only buy the premium bags. Hope this helps. | |
