So an adult is okay skipping a day or two of feeding if she's being spoiled? I was thinking I'd find a good kibble that she does like, but I don't know how to find out which kibble she'd like. She could like pork or beef and there could be 100s of kibbles made with real pork or beef but that doesn't mean she would like every single one of them and I feel it'd be nice to get her something she'd like. I wonder if there's a way to test out which attracts her enough. My other dog likes everything.

Although she really did want to kill that rabbit before. She's originally adopted off a shelter that she was relocated to, because before that shelter she came from north carolina, found wandering the streets. Nobody claimed her. I really want to do good by her, but I don't want to spend a ton of $$$ trying to find a food good enough for her to meet her needs and wont screw her up but that she would enjoy. The toppers sounds fine but sometimes she wont eat even with toppers. Last vet said a similar tune. Scheduled feedings. Start small amounts of food, if she eats within 10minutes to add a little more, if she doesn't eat within the hour to throw it out and try again next day.

Hmmm if she avoids eating for a few days 1-3 is it okay? I mean because if I do this I'd have to be committed. It might be harsh but it'd be better for her in the long run and for me(if and only if it doesnt do her harm).

I’m going to make a suggestion here because I think there are lot of people giving ideas and information but your decisions seem all over the place when it comes to your dog .

Pick one food , stick to it. Wet or dry . Brand or flavor.
Pick a schedule , stick to it.
Go to training , stick to it . Stick to the training method.
Talk to your vet , take their advice.

The dog will eventually eat it (unless there are allergy issues, but those are rare, and you will see signs of it if it occurs). Work in close collaboration with your vet. Be consistent with your feeding schedule.

If your dog isn't drinking enough water, try a different type of bowl. (Not *dry* a bowl--that was a typo. Although you should clean the bowl once a day.) Our Bella loves her small white Corelle Corningware bowl. It's virtually unbreakable and lead-free. We use another Corelle bowl as her food bowl. But some dogs like to eat from a plate, and other dogs prefer to drink from a high bowl lifted off the ground. You will have to find out what your dog prefers. And then stick with it. Consistency is important.
