| Water softner okay for dogs? Hey guys, we have a water filter or something that requires the use of those morton water softner pellets which I might be wrong, it's salt? Can we and our dogs drink the tap water if then? My dog doesn't like to drink water as much as sasha, anything I could do to get her to drink? Could I use a pet water fountain or add something that she wants to drink? she only drinks if its really hot. Otherwise I have to hide it in the food. She isn't overly active though, she's like a cat sometimes. Innactive and enjoys siestas. |

| If it was set up well, tyour water softener is is hooked up to your main hot water line. You can probably use google to learn more about water softener hookups. Either check your soft water set up or hire someone to do it for you. If it wasn't hooked up the right way, have the plumber fix it. Even if it is set up correctly, if your refrigerator doesn't dispense filtered water, offering your pup bottled water is a good way to go. |

| I’m not sure if it’s safe or not but she drinks less water because you are feeding wet food so there is a lot of moisture in it already so she doesn’t need to drink as much. I would advise against a pet fountain they are terrible to clean.
