| I had bought it for my boy who was having tummy issues but I give them all it and it really did seem to fix the anal glad issue in my youngest girl. It was terrible it would happen every 3 or 4 weeks and it would smell terrible and if it got on your clothes you had to change immediately and if it got on furniture you had to clean it. There was no reason they could really figure out of why but it was very gross.

| Yes that is exactly like Maggie! That stuff smells horrible!!! Also wondering if dogs should go after eating meals...right now she poops in the morning, at 3:30 when I get home and most times goes after eating around 5, but if she does not poop that last time she will poop overnight in her cage. It seems so strange that a little dog could poop at 3:30 and then again most days at 5??? Sometimes she even goes a fourth time around 7...it seems like it is just too much! I have the Nature’s Variety food...maybe I will just try to slowly transition her over and see what happens. On the Natures Variety food she will be eating 1/4 cup less so maybe that will cut down on the number of poops? I just wish she would somehow let us know in the middle of the night if she has to go! She has been completely potty trained for months now! As I am typing this we are in another struggle to poop tonight because it is raining outside...I know that she needs to, but she just is stubborn in the rain! Lol! Praying for know poop in the crate tonight! Thanks for all advice! It really helps to have someone who has been there and done that to give a newbie advice! |

| We feed Bella Wellness Core Grain Free Small Breed, which is high protein, grain free, and she only poops once or twice a day at the most, and never at night. We also keep her in a crate on the night stand at night. No problems at all.

| Honestly, if she was doing well on Purina Pro Plan and nothing else -- I'd feed it. Their Sensitive Stomach formula is great for a lot of dogs.

| I've always had good luck on Acana Singles line as well. The Duck & pear is the one Jackson does the best on. We also feed a variety of toppers and canned food as well. Wellness and Weruva are the canned foods we buy the most. I also like Farmina a lot, but it's not as easily accessible in stores. Some of the "sport" dog foods are known for producing small solid stool 1-2x a day like Victor and Annamaet and Redpaw. I'd avoid Blue Buffalo at all costs- lol. Lots of GI issues reported. I'm not the biggest fan of Natural Balance either tbh. Also, you are likely over feeding. My boy is 18lbs and gets 1/2 cup of kibble per day, with one spoonful of wet in each meal (1/4 cup am, 1/4 cup pm). As well as some treats etc. But I don't think a <7lb dog needs 3/4 cup of food unless they have a really good metabolism. The guidelines on the bags are often way over estimated. Also they are based on unaltered/fixed dogs who need more.

| Thanks everyone for your food recommendations and your advice! I am have slowly started to change Maggie’s food to the Nature’s Variety Limited Ingredient Salmon because we are almost out of the Natural Balance. I had already purchased this food a few weeks ago, but was hesitant to try it...so far so good! The new food has many more calories than her old food NB duck and potato...do you guys think that I should feed the recommended amount on the bag 1/2 cup per day? The food is 515 calories which is higher than a lot of foods that I have researched. I just want to be sure that I am not over feeding. Does anyone feed this food and what amount do you feed? |
