| Cyclavance, Cyclosporin....anyone prescribed this for their pet? My dog was prescribed this almost two weeks ago for inflammatory bowel disease and allergies. Her vet warned us that she might feel ill for a couple of weeks (she has felt sick and vomited every other day since). I was wondering if anyone else on here has had a pet prescribed this? How long did it take for sickness to pass? Did it help your dog? If your dog had hair loss, how long till it grew back? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If there is excessive vomiting - call the vet and discuss if this med is viable or there are other options OR add an anti-nausea med, bc there are good ones out there. Hair loss from what...are you saying allergies...?

As far as hair loss - allergies don't really *cause* hair loss, per se. Do you mean some itching/scratching is causing it...or what do you mean exactly?

| Cytapoint is an awesome medicine that is a shot that obviously doesn’t have to go in pill for through the GI tract. You might want to talk about that with your vet.

| She's been tested for hypothyroidism, Cushings and Adisons....over the last 6 months she's been tested for everything conceivable...Our vet says it's allergy related hair loss. |

| Because there are different tests some more useful and better used as a diagnostic test then others.

| You don't seem real willing to share what test they did which honestly makes me wonder if they tested for it. Me and Ann both have/had Cushing dogs there are some tests that just aren't a good diagnostic test to diagnose it and others that are. Sometimes you might want to trust those of us who have been there.
