| Giving Bones to our Furbabies My husband is smoking a Pork Shoulder for pulled pork sandwiches can someone tell me if it is safe to give my Sophie the bone when we have the meat off of it? I know it will make her a mess, we can clean her off but I don't know if it is safe. We have been seeing the commercial on TV with the Yorkie chewing on a big bone and it looks just like Sophie. I would like to freeze it and give it to her for her birthday Oct 3rd. |

| Thanks! That is why I came here to ask before doing it. I knew I could get the answer to my question. Are there any bones you can give them? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You can give them RMBs (raw meaty bones), but not cooked ones. I prefer bones that cannot be consumed, just gnawed on - bones like Bison ribs and such.

I think you've been given the right advice by others re the bones. But, I wanted to let you know that your Sophie and my Teddy share the same birthday! I think it's cute that you are celebrating with a treat! I'm already planning Teddy's 1st birthday and Christmas present - sad, I know! | |
