| Are strawberries okay for a yorkie to eat? I know that apples and bananas are okay but I would like to switch it up sometimes. Will strawberries do any harm to my 10 week old yorkie or are they okay to eat? Also, what other fruits are allowed? Thank u |

| Strawberries are fine...when it's strawberry season, I like to give Toki small slices as a treat. I also give a little bit of the fruits I eat normally like little pieces of peaches, blueberries, cherries, and mangoes. The only fruit I can think of off the top of my head that's a no-no are grapes. |

| I think fruit and veggies are great treats but I would be especially cautious at her young age not to give too much and incite diarrhea which could dehydrate her quickly, also because it has a higher sugar content than some Other treats to be cautious about your moderation to avoid a blood sugar spike which comes with a blood sugar drop since she is more susceptible to hypoglycemia at this age. Glad you are leaning toward fruit and veggies as treats, they are a great option welcome to yt

| Thank you for the advice everyone! I gave her a really tiny piece while I was training her and she really liked it! I cut away the seeds on the outside though, wasn't sure about the seeds. |

| Also keep in mind that the pits in some fruits are highly toxic!!! I have heard that peach pits are... may want to keep them from biting into pits!!!

YT 2000 Club Member | Mine love bananas, green beans, peas, apple pieces, etc. I only give it to them as treats and not on a daily basis. Most of their treats is their dry kibble. They don't know that it is really not a "treat" but just their regular food.
