| Mine have been on royal canine for 5 years and they love it and it keeps their coat nice and shiny and healthy, A lot of people on here don't like it because it does have some issues. I tried changing them to a brand recommended on here and I noticed within a week their coats loosing shine. I switched them back and their coat is very soft. They are bigger yorkies that don't have very sensitive stomachs. Personally I have had great success with it, I am sure someone that knows a lot about all the brands will chime in here soon.

| Quick note, I buy the 10lb bag on amazon and its $35.00 free shipping to your door so you don't need to worry about going to the store. I order when I am a little low and it comes in just a few days. With 2 pups which are 9lbs and 15lb yorkies I go through a bag every 5 weeks which comes out to about $30.00 a month to feed both dogs. Best of luck!

I have fed Royal Canin for over 25 years...never had any problems....never had any "issues" with the dog food....no recalls, etc....dogs love the taste, great results on coats, etc....my dogs are on it from conception all the way thru senior....cradle to grave....If your dogs has issues with gluten or grains, you could have an "issue" with it, but RC is scientifically formulated, evidenced based for best nutritional results for your pup. They now have a new allergin free dog food kibble....for dogs that can not tolerate animal meat proteins. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 07-19-2013 at 06:33 PM. | |

| I haven't had any issues either. I have read on here though threads that some people don't like it though. Just try it would be my recommendation. Every dog is different.

| Our pup (18 weeks old today) has been on it from the beginning and no problems whatsoever. She seems to love and has a beautiful coat. Some claim it to be expensive, but for all they eat, it really doesn't seem to be that expensive on a $/day basis. She's worth the expense. |

| RC has never been recalled. That's a HUGE bonus for me. It's an excellent, solid company with many years of scientific & nutritional experts behind their product. It's also one of the more palatable foods which really helps if you have a picky eater, like me.
