| It's best to only change/add one thing at a time, so you will know exactly what works or doesn't work.

| She just means she gives more than a teaspoon. A generous teaspoon.

| I've been looking for more information about the small treats I bought a couple of days ago. (the small treats in bones and heart shapes) They are made in Germany and the contain grain, vegetable products, meat and animal derivatives (min. 4% poultry, lamb 4%, 4% tripe, 4% beef, wild 4%, 4% salmon flavor ), glycerol, linseed oil, lupins. With the EC permitted preservatives and dyes What do you all think of this?

| Sweet potatoes are in the veggie section in the grocery store. They look like this: fotolia_7142268_l1.jpg It's also in some dog foods. I like getting this kind from the asian markets here, it's a little sweeter. Sweet-Potato-31.jpg Quote:
Just FYI, preservatives & dyes are very bad, some preservatives like BHT & BHA are toxins known to cause cancer. Like capt_noonie mentioned, any 'meat or bone meal', 'poultry', 'animal digest', 'natural flavors', any unspecified meat can come from rendered 4D's (dead, dying, diseased or disabled animals).

| Mimimomo, I only give Nena and Rufus treats as training rewards and as something for in between meals. I don't like giving Nena treats when she doesn't eat, I'm scared she'll just stop eating in order for me to give her treats. We have sweet potatoes here, we normally by them for us and will start buying them for the doggies as well. We are familiar with the sweet potatoes, I just didn't understand what you meant with "I give them over-heaping teaspoon as a treat" but capt_noonie explained it

| My dog Daisy has had this problem and when she was a pup when she got nervous or stressed out she would start throwing up and it was sometimes yellow or white foam looking. She would not be able to keep anything down, and would stop eating and drinking. Always ending up in the hospital dehydrated. I have had her tested for everything and everything has come back neg. The only thing that they think was wrong with Daisy is that she has an acid reflex type of thing going on and when she is nervous or stressed it acts up. What we did was when we knew it was going to be stressful for her....company....holidays....we give her Pepcid ac bf the event. We also took her off of anything with grains in it including treats and dog food....We also only give her distilled spring water to drink. It has made a world of difference in her.. Also when she starts an episode we give her a Pepcid ac and I offer her oranic low sodium chicken broth mixed with water every 2-4 hrs round the clock just to keep fluids in her. If she keeps that down then I boil boneless chicken breast and white rice and feed her about 4 small meals a day and then slowly bring her back to her dog food.

| Thanks for your story spiritwings1202 ![]() I still haven't found a pattern for Nena's trowing up. I will start with what Mimimomo and Capt_Noonie suggested and I will go from there on and try to find a pattern as well. I just have to take it one step at a time in order to figure out what's bothering her.

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | Our shepherd is on meds that give her an upset stomach and indigestion. So, the vet told us to give her Pepcid AC. Obviously she is a lot bigger than a yorkie. But you may want to ask your vet if a small dose might help your baby.
