Thank the Lord Wallee is feeling better. Your wallet is too! That stupid vet, how could he be so rude! Our dogs are family members and he should treat them like that! Forget him. Find a caring vet. I am glad you have that procedure over. Bless your husband for taking care of everything. Can you put up a fence so Wallee doesn't get into stuff? That's what I do for my Yorkies. We have a wire fence so they do not get out in my roses or dirt. I am happy for you! |
Cindy I'm thrilled to see both of you are better. Relieved that your procedure is over and you seem to have come through it fine. Just keep watching Wallee and monitor his intake and watch out for any changes in him and get him in to the ER Vet if he gets ill again. N&V at this point could be a sign of continuing dehydration though he sounds well past that point. If you need it, here is a link to an article from the YT Library but I doubt you will if he's eating and drinking and not losing fluids. Sounds like he got into something that disagreed with his tummy. Both of you all take it easy and am thankful for answered prayers! :) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/eme...-drinking.html |
I am very happy to hear Wallee and you are both feeling better. Tell your little cutie to stay out of trouble. I understand the difficulty of trying to prevent them from eating things they shouldn't. |
Wonderful! You BOTH are feeling better!! You will both be back to yourselves very quickly, and that is prayers answered! |
Glad to hear both of you are doing better. That was scary! Have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow! |
Glad to hear that you both are doing well:) |
Glad all is well and that you and Wallee are doing better. |
Great news. So glad your both are feeling better :) |
Cindy. Iam so glad that you both are on the mend. Send lots of good thoughts to you both |
oh nooooo...set back today Well, yesterday things were looking up for Wallee..we got him to eat boiled chicken breast two times and drink chicken broth and water..He went for one walk and his poop was normal. He even played with friends we had come to visit..This morning, he got up, went pee and then threw up bile again..He is back in bed...My big dilema is going to be trying to keep him hydrated today till I can try to get to a new vet tomorrow...(emerg here is ridiculous price to even walk in the door plus add all the blood work he will need to find out what is going on.) I will really have to watch him today to make sure I can get fluids into him or will have to makethat dreaded trip to the emerg...what terrible timing...with me loosing my job, things are so tight. I am so worried about the little guy. May have to go to family to borrow money till I get paid on Thursday. :( |
So sorry to hear he had a set back, Hope he feels better soon! |
I took him for a small walk and he pooped. Stool looks normal. He came in and drank water and stole some cat kibble. ;-) he wouldn't eat the chicken but he usually doesn't eat in the morning. I am going to cook him some ground beef later and get some pedialyte to give him if he throws up again. So far he looks ok and we had a late night last night so it's also not abnormal for him to go back to sleep if he is up late. Going to keep a very close eye on him today in case we need to go to ER but aside from one throwup he seems almost normal today. |
Poor Wallee. :( I would keep him out of the cat kibble. According to the ASPCA website: Quote:
Why dog food is not for cats...and vice versa | petMD I would also be careful feeding him cheese. The higher fat in cat food and the cheese could be causing him gastro problems. I would also worry about pancreatitis, although it is debatable if there is a direct link with too much fat. |
Cindy, I am so glad you at least are feeling better. Poor Wallee, little stinkers do get into everything don't they? Prayers that he will improve....that vet was rude! I do hope you can find out what is wrong with him. Happy Mothers Day my friend!! :) |
I've been out for a while and am only just now seeing this. Boy, these little ones can get into just about anything outside. Mandie is always wanting to munch on the grass and who knows what else? I caught her and Shelby going after a toad last night. ugh Praying that Wallee continues to feel better. Perhaps he threw up the bile because he hasn't been eating and his tummy was empty - I know that in itself can cause them to throw up sometimes. Keep him hydrated with water and pedialyte. Praying it is just a belly ache that will go away soon. Praying for your continued recovery, as well. Hugs! |
