Bil Jac We got a sample at Petsmart and Chloe LOVES it. I have had a hard time finding something she really likes...beside my cat's food  Does anyone know anything about this brand? |
It has meat by-products in it. And corn meal. Personally, I wouldn't feed my dog meat by-products after watching how they're made on YouTube. It grosses me out. |
Oh man! Ok, forget that food then. Thanks |
|
I used to feed it when I first got Rosie. There was an ingredient that was linked to causing cancer if i remember correctly. I immediately changed and wouldn't pick it up ever again. I have learned a lot thanks to YT about dog food. |

What about Royal Canin? It's supposed to be yummy. I have a really finicky pup. But he'll eat Royal Canin. Sometimes. He's weird like that. |
Bil Jac uses BHA as a preservative, it's linked to cancer! BHA... a Time Bomb in Dog Food? |

Lots of YTers feed Royal Canin - I started Izzy on it but I had read that some dogs show allergic type symptoms, i.e. lots of itching, when they are eating it. I have recently switched her over to Halo's Spot's Stew. This is the food that Ellen Degeneres sponsors (I think she may actually be an owner) and Izzy's itching has definitely decreased. Good luck! |
Bil Jac has both the dry and frozen. You are correct about the dry but the frozen was always keep in my freezer if I needed in an emergency. The University of Pa. Veterinary School always ordered for dogs after surgery that were not doing well and it pulled many through a difficult time. Ingredients could have changed through the years since I haven't had a dog for some time but in the past it had been excellent with maybe a little too much sugar to ever use for a daily diet. I'll have to go check and see what they say about it now. :animal-pa |
I dont remember reading meat by product as I switched to evo but it was too rich for them so we went back to dry bil jac ......gonna have to reread the ingredients. . |
What I am finding on Bil Jac Frozen seems to be conflicting reviews. |
