Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have a question for those of you who feed their pups homemade/non-processed treats! I noticed many members on here saying that they only feed their Yorkies homemade treats or non-processed treats. Would you feed your pups treats made fresh from a family owned bakery? The owners say they only use "raw" and fresh ingredients? SquirrelsDogCookie Peanut Butter Bones Blue Yappy Birthday Cookie Bone with Carob Chips And they make many more treats like this sold fresh everyday in the store location. I was wondering if you would consider this a healthy treat to feed your pups? I'm interested in feeding Clyde and Dexter homemade treats and such. I've been feeding them store bought treats, but my boys don't really seem to like them much. |

| I have purchased a treat hear and there from doggie bakeries in the area. Usually they aren't real thrilled and will even turn their noses up at them, but each lil pup is different. I am currently going through the "three dog bakery" cookbook. Some of the recipes call for red and green pepper,I think that I will leave that out. |

| I would treat mine with them, I guess...it is just A WHOLE LOT LESS EXPENSIVE TO GIVE MINE the tons of different things I choose from for them, depending on if I am going with veggies or fruit or something meaty or sweets! |

YT 2000 Club Member | I prefer to make my own treats. That way, I know what goes into them. I have one that needs to have grain free, so I have hunted for those type of recipes. There are many onsite recipes that are awesome and are fairly easy to make with basic ingredients.

| Zeus and Ody get dehydrated treats...chicken, silver fish, tuna, beef, chicken hearts...chicken liver sometimes but it's soooo smelly!

| Where do you get them? Do you dehydrate them yourself or do you buy them? Pet store or grocery store? I had to take away Hueys chicken jerky because it was made in China, but it was his very favorite treat.

| I make them myself - they're super easy. I just chop up everything, set in the dehydrator for 14ish hours, turn off to cool, et voila!
