| Dental Care/Hygiene Hi! I have a question about taking care of Daisy's (6 yo) teeth at home. I've used petz life spray and gel in the past. Can they be used together? Like can i clean her teeth with the toothpaste gel/brushing and then spray her with the spray right after? Is that too much? Should I alternate the spray and the gel on different days? I would love to hear what you all do to clean your baby's teeth. Please also include which product/brand you use as well! Thanks!!

YT Addict | I'd like to know, too! I hope we get some responses to this thread. I use the Arm and Hammer enzymatic paste but not sure if that is a good thing or not. The "expert" at Petsmart told me to buy it because that's what they use at their grooming salon. I was ready to buy toothbrushes but he said you just rub it on their teeth and don't need to brush. I'm not sure how much is getting on their teeth, they lick most of it off before I get that far. I've received some bad advice from other Petsmart employees in the past so I'm a bit skeptical.

| Well, the gel and the spray of Petzlife are the same exact things (in a different form). So it'd be overkill to do both. Get a good doggy toothpaste. I only use CET. Jackson tolerates it well too, compared to other toothpastes we tried. Be careful because a lot of pet toothpastes are made in China. We use CET toothpaste for brushing. HealthyMouth gel (applied with a q-tip). Occasionally, I'll sprinkle some ProDen PlaqueOff on his food. No idea if it really helps or not though. Ummm, I guess you could include his chews. He gets an occasional bully stick which I think helps keep the back teeth clean. Also a 'Get Naked' chew. They're not very hard, but they say they clean teeth too, and I've noticed a slight difference after giving him one.

My Daisy is impossible when it comes to sticking a toothbrush (I've tried finger brush, baby toothbrush and a "special doggie two way brush". And she definitely has buildup which I really want to try to get rid of or minimize right now.

YT 2000 Club Member | Only use what is vet approved. That stuff you get in the pet store might not be good for our precious Yorkies. I use CET toothpaste and a little toothbrush. I use a little finger thing I put toothpaste on and rub the side teeth. MY guys like the taste. Some of that stuff they sell I do not trust. |

| I use CET toothpaste and the tiny CET tooth brush works great for us. Callie had no needed a dental at 5 but she broke a tooth so they did a whole dental while she was under. I also use oravet weekly.

| I use Petrodex toothpaste, first I use my finger, then then brush. I can brush the front and most of the side teeth and for the back I turn the tooth brush and tell him to bite it. Then to finish I put water on the brush and he licks it to clean his tongue |
