| AWESOME dog food I blogged about this, which I'll link, but I've been telling everyone about this fantastic new food we're eating. It's probably much less economical for larger dogs or more than two dog households, but my picky eater loves it! Sojos is a really great, grain free, dehydrated dog food. It's made up mostly of vegetables (first ingredient being sweet potatoes) and they carry it in Beef and Turkey varieties. Tallulah is a BIG fan of the Turkey. It's pretty easy to make with equal parts water and food. To the best of my knowledge it has NEVER been recalled and they use human-grade ingredients similar to The Honest Kitchen. We have yet to try their treats, but with flavor varieties like Chicken Pot Pie, PB & J, and some other assorted flavors I think they fit the bill on uniqueness! The Good Dog variety I have seen up close at my retailer and they're small--they'd make great training treats! A 2 pound bag makes around 10 pounds of rehydrated food--my yorkie, being three pounds, can eat about 3/4ths of a cup spread throughout a week. It costs me roughly $18 per bag, and I bought ours over a month ago. We store it in an airtight container, and we've still barely put a dent in it. Their customer service is excellent. I wanted to make sure Tallulah would like the stuff before I invested in a bag, but unlike Honest Kitchen, they don't offer free samples. I contacted them asking if there was any way to get some and offered to pay the shipping, and admittedly, I didn't expect them to get back to me. Not even a half hour later, I got an email back from them asking what kinds I wanted and where to send them at no cost to me. The sent four pouches in two flavors and it got here fast! They're wonderful to work with and the dog just loves the food. For the complete review I've done, you can go here. Just thought I'd mention this one to the rest of the world struggling with picky eaters.

| I looked at your blog, is this soft food? The only thing about feeding soft food is their teeth. They have such teeth problems, I've heard not to give strictly soft food...it looks good though.... |

| It's like The Honest Kitchen...dehydrated food. Eating soft food or kibble doesn't clean dog's teeth. Eating any kind of food will produce plaque which will eventually turn into tartar. Brushing everyday will eliminate any plaque & help prevent tartar.

| Raw food is much better for teeth than processed foods, part of why I feed raw. This looks great worth a try haven't seen it before.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Actually dry food being a cleaner of teeth is just a myth. Think of it as a person eating a cracker. they dont clean your teeth- they just get stuck in them. Its best to brush your pet's teeth no matter what type of food it eats. Dogs werent born to eat dry kibble, they were born to eat meat- animals. http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/choosi...cleaner-teeth/

| In those pictures on your review, the Sojos looks very appealing once it's been rehydrated! The ingredients are great and it's something I've looked into after seeing it at a couple of different local stores. I'd probably add a little extra meat to up the protein if I decided to feed it but this looks like a very wholesome food...it would probably also be a good option for a yorkie with strict fat requirements |

| To answer questions/address comments: 1.) It is a soft food. Tallulah started her life out on a soft diet and she still seems to eat better on it when she's getting some every day. 2.) She eats two servings of Sojos per day and has a bowl of kibble to graze on in between feedings. 3.) Tallulah's teeth are brushed in the morning right after I brush mine. I use a finger brush and an enzymatic toothpaste. No problems there. 4.) If you think the pictures are appealing, you should smell it! It smells like a dehydrated version of Thanksgiving dinner. 5.) I definitely think you could add meat for more protein. I can't afford that aspect of it right now between school, bills and other things.

And you should definitely try some samples if you want to give it a spin. Tallulah likes Beef but hated the beef flavor because of the cabbage that's in it. One day when I can afford meat, I might try the fruit and veggie mix and see how she does on it.
