| Natural Balance Anyone still feeding Natural Balance foods? I was in Unleashed (Petco's small branch stores) today and the manager and I started talking. He said during the Diamond Plant recall in May, only NB sent a company rep out to check bags/dates in his store. He was really saying great things about the company and how they quality check all their foods. Although none of their food tested as tainted they recalled foods.

| I picked up a bag of the LID Sweet Potato & Fish Small Bites to add to the boys rotation. Starting tonight, I am slowly adding it to Acana they are on. Mickey is barking for some now.

| When the recall happened I had just purchased a big bag...we have used NB for over two years and it is the only food I have tried that Jada thrives on with her allergies. They were very helpful on the phone and assured me that my bag was ok..(it wasn't on the recall list) I have continued to use it with no issues, but I did purchase a 5lb bag of California Natural Sweet Potato and Venison to try when I was so unsure of what to do when the Diamond issue happened. I am still not happy that they use the Diamond plant to make their food in my region But with that said neither of my two has ever had an issue while eating NB.

I know a few foods are moving away from Diamond now. Canidae has a new facility and Solid Gold is moving. For some reason, I've always had a soft spot for NB. Their facility looks awesome: http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/BWC-Search.aspx

| Thank Goodness!! I hate to switch from the only food that my two have ever thrived on!! I have to say that NB has an awesome customer service. They were very helpful and open with me when I called them. I have this 5lb bag of California Natural that I have been giving as treats since I bought it and they do like it. I can always fall back on it if need be...but I really do not want to switch from NB.

| I stopped NB fish and sweet potato canned because I was finding small and some long sharp fish bones in the food. I took a sample to the vet and she confirmed it. My dog is three pounds and it could have really hurt her. I also read that they were finding them in the kibble too. Also they fish formula has ethoxyquin in it last I heard. I really liked the company when I first started feeding it and my dog seemed to do well on it. I would consider trying a new formula if they switched facilities. I feed canine caviar right now and she seems to be doing really well. |

| After finding out that they're moving away from Diamond, I would consider feeding it again if any of my dogs had issues. I fed it to Sasha once and she wasn't crazy about it at all so I stopped. I definitely like their LID options though. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Are you feeding a LID bc of allergies? If yes, might want to make sure it doesn't have flax if you have an allergy dog.

| Recalls are scary but also note recall specifics. What regions, what specific type and where. Totw from tge Mossori plabt was also recalled but pet feed stores in in CA which was unaffected posted warning signs, yes better safe than sorry but scaring ppl isnt helpful either. I ate spinach all through the FDA and national scare a few years ago...just not imported packaged.

| I started feeding Max the Potato and Duck small bites because he tends to chew on his feet when he eats anything else. I tried switching him to the Lamb and sweet potato and he didn't like it as well and he started chewing his feet again. The LID have been really good for him. We've tried Royal Canin and Blue Buffalo and neither worked well for him. |
