oh yeah, oscar is doing great on the natures variety raw. Well for the 3 lb bag = 48 medallions i buy at my local pet life/kennel shop & the cost is $ 14.99 i feed to oscar and my shih tzu. Oscar gets 3 ozs per day = 3 medallions kaiah get 4 ozs per day = 4 medallions so the 3 lb last us 1 week for two dogs. Now that i know they will do well on i am going to buy two bags per week and rotate flavors PS , YEAH HOW DO YOU DO THAT 3 POST THING.... Last edited by MY OSCAR; 04-27-2012 at 03:01 AM. | |

| Depends on now big your Yorkie is and how much it needs. I have one dog that's at a healthy weight at 14 lbs and I only give a shy 1/4 cup twice a day at most or 1 ounce raw or she'll gain weight. I have another that's 6 1/2 lbs and she gets 1 1/3 kibble or 7-8 ounces of raw and still stays on the lean side. I always tell people feeding amounts on a bag are only a guideline - if I fed my younger Afghan the recommended amount she'd starve to death!

| Poor Riley had a Reaction to the Primal LAMB!!!! I gave it to him for Dinner Wed. night and both meals yesterday. This is how he looked, this morning!!!! ![]() The ONLY different ingredient in it is the Lamb. I gave him his FROMM kibble for breakfast, this a.m. with 1/2 a Benadryl. |

| I just called Primal and the Rep. said I could take the bag back to the store for a refund. I'll get a back of the chicken, which is what he just finished. |

| I was going to say, their return policy is amazing. I took back the duck because Gizmo didn't like it. Right now we're rotating Chicken (well I'm out and have to pick some up tonight) and the Turkey roll for supplemental.

| I feed a primarily prey model raw diet and yes, it's completely healthy if you follow the 80-10-10 rule. (80%meat 10%bone and 10%organ with 5%of that liver) I say primarily because I do cheat and use primal or natures variety sometimes as well. If you have any question, please feel free to send me a pm. It is not hard at all and my babies are all so healthy! |
