| Yorkie Yakker | My girl seems to start scratching a lot when she has chicken. I don't know if its the chicken or something else. Has anyone had this problem with chicken? |

| My Jada has severe skin allergies to chicken. The last time she had a treat with chicken listed as one of the ingredients, I had to take her into the vets and she had to have a shot and was put on an antihistamin. My vet compared it to a human with an allergic reaction to poison ivy.

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | My Chanel has develop a sudden allergy to chicken after her third litter, very rare said my vet, but now she can't have chicken, her poops go soft and smelly, and she started scratching like she had fleas.. it was horrible, and on top of that she was lactating a litter of 6, vet recomended to change the food, which I did to instinct lamb and like a miracle she got better in a week, so I determined that NO more chicken for her, or anything that contains chicken, she still licks her paws a bit but is only been two months since we discover this, i am retiring her from my breeding program and having her spayed. I am keeping her as a pet for now on, I don't want to rehome her either, my vet and my son who is going to vet school, said that chicken and grains allergies can develop over time and they are very common.. hugs, |

| Yorkie Yakker | To Carmen in nj Thank you so much. My Dolly has had the same symptoms! I had fed her chicken $ turkey food. She was scratching a lot and could not stop chewing her feet! I have her on Fresh Selects which only has chicken, turkey, or beef. I don't want to give her beef all the time so guess I may have to go to dry kibble to get the lamb. She came from a breeder and only has a few teeth hence the soft food. Have you found lamb in any other form besides the dry? |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I feed Natures Variety, and I am lucky that they have lamb in soft food, they also have pork, rabbit, venison, duck, turkey, they have a great variety of other choices besides chicken, I am sad because NV is a very expensive food and chicken is the more affordable, but my girl can't have it now, so on to other proteins I go...LOL |

| Jada's symptoms were much the same as Carmen's Chanel, severe itching and soft stools. I feed Natural Balance LID Sweet Potato and Venison. It took forever to find a food without any chicken that both of my guys would eat. I have been feeding this formula for almost 18 months now and they love it and are thriving on it.
