| My 10 month old yorkie is having seizures! My 10 month old yorkie shilo has had two seizures in the past month. they last for maybe a minute.my previous vet said it could be normal for smaller dogs to have one a month? she did no blood work. he had another one the other day while outside playing. he was running around then all the sudden looked like he was chasing a red a light on the ground and started rolling and his arms where going everywhere and he was up against the fence banging it. .I got to him when I relized that was what was going on,he moved his arms for a second and I held him close and stayed calm. he stopped and did not want to be put down.I called a new vet right after and he stayed on the phone with me and he was fine after a minute.he has an appt to get blood work.we are trying to figure out what could cause this. any ideas? |

| No, it's not normal for dogs to have seizures. Either something is causing the seizures or they are due to epilepsy. My dog has epilepsy, he was a puppy when he started having seizures. He is managed on medications to control and minimize the number of seizures he has. I would go further if Shilo were my dog.

| I just read your other thread about your female bleeding. Are you sure there isn't something else going on? They both need to go to the vet ASAP! Good luck and I hope you figure out what it going on with both of them.
