| It may take time for his body to adjust to the new food, or there could be a problem with bacteria in his gut. A vet check wouldn't hurt, and then putting him on probiotics will put more good bacteria in his gut and help restore normal functioning.

| It may take awhile for him to adjust to the new food since it is a LOT richer than the Ol' Roy. The probiotics are a good idea. Or you can try a spoonful of plain yogurt daily. That seemed to help my dogs a lot. If things don't get better after a few weeks, you should maybe try a different food to see how that works.

| If "TOTW" is "Taste of the Wild", our older dog did the same exact thing. It smelled like Godzilla had taken a fresh doodee in our house...on a constant basis. His toots were frequent, and horrid. We switched him to Orijen and everything is fine now...no gas and his doodees hardly smell. I'm not sure what ingredients were in Taste of the Wild that caused this extremely nasty odor emanating from his booty, but it was horrible. |

| I don't want to switch brands just yet so I checked his food and It was the High Prairie and I think it might have been a little to rich so I am going to try the TOTW Pacific stream I read the side of the bag and it is a little less umm strong/rich. |

YT 2000 Club Member | My dogs had gas and smelly poop issues while on TOTW...thats mostly the reason why I switched. You have to also remember that you went from a dog food full of grains to one that doesnt have any, so it will like others have said time for his body to completely adjust. If he is still having issues after a few weeks then try another food.

| We use TOTW pacific stream because the fish protein is easier to digest - TOTW does include lots of probiotics so it might be a little while for your dogs digestive system to get healthy. I will say the poops are NOT odorless but small and neat, not much gas- but fish breath right after eating! |

| hhhhmmm my boys are on TOTW for about 4 years now with NO problems what-so-ever. I hope the transition goes easier on his tummy and your nose very soon! I love TOTW food and as long as my boys eat it, I will not take them off of it.

| A week isn't very long for transitioning to a new food. Some foods have more fiber than some dogs can handle at first. A really slow transition is a good idea. The body is having to adjust to dealing with the new ingredients. If your dog is still having problems after 5 or 6 weeks you may have to change to something his body can digest more easily. The brand you are using is a pretty good brand but it is a huge change to the system. Maybe back off a little and add more of the old food and try to make a longer transition period. |
