| Jeter can be a poop eater too. I have had great success with Deter. And a added bonus is that he loves the pills. Good luck, I know how disgusting it is. |

| How old is he? Loki only did this once and I think it's because he was sick so he couldn't hold it and he went in the house so he was afraid of getting in trouble. Are they pee-pad trained? Because Loki is housetrained and he goes outside on a leash (no fence) so he comes right back in when he's done and I go out every other day or so and pick it all up. Can you just walk him to make sure he goes before you let him loose in the house? Have you spoken to a professional behaviorist?

| "ACCENT - You can buy at the food store (it is the main ingredient of meat tenderizer, but ACCENT is pure). This too you sprinkle some in their food and it is suppose to make their poop taste really bad to them." Oops, I copied this from TLC's post, it is just a misconception.. Accent is not a meat tenderizer but a flavor enhancer. There have been some concerns in the past about putting something in their stomachs that is strong enough to tenderize meat. Wondered if it would break down the lining of the puppies stomach like it does the meat... I have used about a teaspoon of Accent in the dog food and all of mine ate it without problems. They did seem to drink and piddle more because of the make-up of the Accent.. |

| It really is disgusting. I have 2 dogs that eat poop. They usually eat it if they poop on their paper. I was concerned about the meat tenderizer and quit using it. It didn't work anyway. I was told that it was damaging to their liver. Is that true? How long should I give it to work? |

| Toby will only eat cat poop out of the litter box. He would eat it everyday, but we have put it on a stool so that he can no longer eat it anymore.

| WOW - No more ACCENT Oh thanks for that! As soon as I get home, I am throwing away the ACCENT. I really HATED sprinkling it in the food, and it wasn't working anyway! I am trying something new and I think it is sort of working... I am feeding them a couple of freash, raw baby spinach leafs in the morning. It seems to make their poop smell really bad and I don't think they like the taste b/c they have been leaving some poop behind. They must be still tasting it, but they aren't finishing it! I'll let you know how this works out! |

| Yes, most do this when they are young. I know every dog I have ever had has done it. Pooh!! Mine have about stopped it now. I feed the birds and my chihuahua loves to eat the sunflower seeds! He has since outgrown it but it was funny when he was young and the vet did a poop test on him and asked me about the seeds in there! Ah!! They are funny aren't they? |

| Just thinking about it turns my stomach and makes me sick. Lacey sometimes did this if did not pick up her paper fast enough. (she was paper trained.) I LOVE dogs to death but this is the one thing that really grosses me out. Lacey would eat something as gross as her poop, but yet when it came time for her heartworm pills, she always tried to spit it out. We had to fool her with wrapping in a piece of chicken each time. |

| One underlying cause of this behavior can be a deficiency of certain B vitamins. These are manufactured by beneficial bacteria in the dogs large intestine but cannot be absorbed from there. It may therefore be helpful to supplement the dogs diet with brewers yeast tablets or powder, which are rich in B vitamins. I would advise you talk to a vet first before doing anything.

| TJ was tested and he does NOT have a Vitamin B deficency. That would be too easy! But I think I will ask about the Bewers Yeast, I'll try anything! |

| I have the same problem with Peanut when I'm at work. YUK! My vet suggested first to monitor exactly how much they eat if they'll be locked up and unable to relieve themselves. If that doesn't help and they still poop while you're gone, my vet suggested sprinkling MSG (found in the grocery spice aisle) in the dog food. I, personally, haven't tried the MSG. I've been only giving Peanut a few pieces of food before I leave in the morning and then letting her eat a meal when I get home from work. Good Luck! |

| Mine too Well it's nice to know I'm not the only Yorkee Mommy that deals with this. I never dreamed they would do this! It's my girl (Tiffy) she eats Teddy's (My boy) and not her own. He don't touch either one. If I take them outside she don't do it, it's only if he has an accident her in the house. I used the puppy pads when they was little but now that they are older I take them outside to do their business. But it's nasty to see this and to know she does this. I wish and hope she will outgrow it. Hugs, Lee |

| Vitamin B itself might not be what is lacking as there are many types of B vitamins, it would not hurt to try the brewers yeast as I have heard a lot of dog owners have had good results using it. Good Luck
