| What to do when they throw up I woke up this morning and Harley was playful as usual, I gave him his food, went back a few minutes later and he hadn't touched it, and I noticed there was some vomit under the bed, no idea when he did it, it wasn't warm so I don't think it was extremely fresh. I gave him a bit of syrup (High-Cal) just as a precaution. There's no stools yet, so I have no way of knowing if anything else is bothering him. Thoughts? Should I completely take away his food, cause it wasn't a fresh vomit, I'd be interested in knowing if he'd eat. I can't think of anything different he's had, except that we were up playing late last night, so I gave him some treats and pineapple around 12pm, but he eats those all the time, and his bed time is usually around 10-11 anyway.

| If I catch mine throwing up, I try to wait to make sure that they are done, and then I give mine 1/2 a tablet of ground Maalox. I have ulcers so I always have them around the house. With Andromeda, if I don't give her something, her stomach is upset all day and she won't eat. |

| Sometimes when Sasha used to throw up whether if it was because she had an upset tummy from getting into something she shouldn't have or if it was bile if she hadn't eaten, I would sometimes boil up some plain chicken and mix it with some rice for her next meal instead of her kibble. Then as long as that stayed down, I would give her kibble back at her next meal. I've heard that some puppies can throw up just from playing too hard, they just get all worked up like babies. |
