| Allergic reaction Has anyone had their puppy have alergic reactions to their vaccines? I took Aiko to get his 10 week shots and he started vomiting within 15 min of the shot. I took him back and they gave him 2 more shots to counter act the reaction. They told me to give him 1/4 of a childrens bynadryl before bringing him in for his 12 week. Is this normal?

| What shots did your baby have ? I would find out what vac caused the reaction & not give him that one again. Also the vacs should be separated as giving all vacs at once is way too much on our babies. |

| He had Canine Distemper Combination Vaccine Infectious Canine Hepatitis Vaccine Parainfluenza Canine Parvovirus I'm not sure if these can be divided out or not. But he goes in for his third and final round of them in two weeks.

| Rocco also had a similar reaction to his 2nd round of vaccines. My vet decided to give every shot separately after that, and also had me give him benadryl 1/2 hour prior. It made for extra trips but the vet didn't charge me more...I'd highly recommend doing the same for your pup.

| It's not as common as the internet makes it look, but it does happen sometimes. That would have been a mild to moderate reaction. The DHPP doesn't usually cause as many reactions as other vaccines like lepto. You'll have to finish the pup shots for your pup to be protected. I have no idea why the final one is scheduled at 12 weeks. That is too early.
