Seizure??? I've read a few other discussions about seizures, but as a worried parent, I just want to see what everybody else thinks.. :) I've had my baby Apple for about a week now and I absolutley LOVE her! Today she gave us a little scare though.. We were in the car (had been for about 15 minutes) and her head starting shaking and she threw up. I'm wondering if she could have just been car sick, or if it was a seizure. We stopped the car at a store (to get some Karo syrup) and she calmed down for the most part, her head would still shake occassionally.. We didn't give her anything since she the shaking had stopped..And now we're home and she's bouncing around like usual. :) She's been in the car plenty of times since we've gotten her and we have never had a problem.. What does everybody think??? |
I think she was probably car sick. My dog has seizures (hasn't had one in 8 years) and he never threw up from it. He would get stiff, move jerkily, foamy saliva would come from his mouth, he would pee. I know there are different kinds of seizures but to me it sounds like your pup had motion sickness. Next time you see the vet bring this to their attention. Hope all is well now. |
Could it maybe be a reaction to the vaccinations that she got yesterday?? |
Had she eaten within two hours of going in the car? |
We thought it might be car sickness too, but she is still shaking AND vomiting. I plan on calling the vet tomorrow morning and taking her in. I posted something a little earlier, could it be a reaction to one of her vaccinations that she had yesterday? |

Winston always throws up after a seizure. But I agree, this was most likely car sickness. What does your vet say? |
