| Fromm Grain Free Surf & Turf Review Fromm Family Foods - Four-Star Grain-Free Surf & Turf for dogs Can I just say how much we LOVE this stuff. The local dog boutique recommended the switch from Innova, which we had used for a while and I was marginally happy with (so I thought) but wow, this stuff is great! Loki has lost almost a whole pound - he was a bit overweight, mostly because he just a lazy lump who loves food - but he has lost weight on this food and looks great. Sam has always been skinny but they both porked out when we used other grain free (Evo, Orijen) products. She has remained her petite, trim self AND she has stopped her occasionally pooping-in-the-house accidents. I think this food just moves through her system better. They are both otherwise house-trained, ask to go out, etc. But before, if she didn't poop before bed she would sneak off in the middle of the night and poop. So the solution was me keeping track to make sure she went after dinner and if not, standing outside for 20+ minutes at night watching/walking her to make sure she went before bed. Well, for whatever reason, we are on our 3rd bag of this stuff and she has only had 1 accident. Nothing else has changed, so I have to credit this. It must be easier to digest or something. The shop owner told me it has a similar number of calories per cup so you don't have to cut back on the amount of kibble like you do with the other grain free products. That makes sense. Otherwise I think it's just higher quality. They both seem to really like it. It smells strong, but it smells like meat and fish. I pay about $13 for a small bag that lasts about a month, so it's not too expensive either!

| I LOVED the Fromm Surf and Turf and so did Jackson! The only reason I stopped was because he got terrible eye boogers on it. I did a trial, because I didn't want it to be the food, but once I stopped Fromm... the eye boogers stopped. I started it again and after a week, the eye boogers came back again. Maybe it was a coincidence but once we stopped feeding it, the eye boogers stopped! It was such a shame because I love the brand and the company behind it. I am SOOO glad it's working so well for you guys. It really is a great food And I agree on the price! I got a 4.4lb for around $11 here.

I have definitely not noticed an increase in eye boogers or anything like that. My guys have never really shown any signs of food allergies, though. Sam has crusty eye boogers and Loki's are gooey. Figure that one out...

Don't get me wrong- he still gets the occasional crusty of course. But when on Fromm, his were like gooey nasty wet every morning. They do have other flavors- but not grain-free. I'm super happy with Acana right now though, and Orijen as well. Go! Endurance is something we've also added to the mix and he does fantastic on it. It's always SO great to find a good that works though! So I know exactly how happy you are, haha.

| We have been on Fromm Surf N Turf for several months now and LOVE it! The babies are doing great on it too! I have had trouble finding a food that doesn't upset Raider's sensitive tummy, and luckily this one has not affected him so far. Also, Lola has been a little chubby, and has lost some weight since eating this food. We are lovin' Fromm right now! Have you tried any of their treats? I thought they looked good, but haven't tried them yet. They are low fat too, so that's a plus! Thanks for posting, Erin! Glad ya'll are liking Fromm too, it's always good to hear that someone else likes the same kibble!

Brittany - they just added a new flavor. http://www.frommfamily.com/upload/359.pdf I like those other brands too though, they are all of such good quality that it's hard to choose without a certain reason to pick one over another, and we don't always want to keep jumping around (which is why I stuck with Innova) so it's nice to know what works for others. I FORGOT the VERY MOST IMPORTANT PART. Sammy's morning empty-stomach puking has stopped. (Watch, now she will puke in the morning, on my pillow, right?) But seriously, no more yellow bile-y you-didn't-feed-me-early-enough puke on my comforter. AWESOME.
