| vaccine questions? my puppy will be 15 weeks this weekend. if he had only one round of vaccines at 8+ weeks, does he only need one more round of vaccines if i wait another week till 16 weeks. im not sure if im understanding the schedule correctly. im thinking if i get the round at 15 weeks, i will then have to go back to have another round when he is 16+ weeks(in my case 17 weeks), but if i just wait another week, he will be 16 weeks so i only need that one round? |

| There was a thread a few months ago about vaccines and I believe there was a schedule buried in there. Try a search for the past 3-4 months on vaccines. I try to find it too. Hopefully someone has the schedule more readily avail.

| There is information in the library and you can do a google search on Dr. Dodd's vaccination protocol.

| The vaccination protocol evolves as research is constantly being done on vaccinations. So a google search is probably the best method to obtain the last and greatest protocol.

| i had read her protocal, as well as some shultz articles, and i guess the confusion is the 14 and 16-18 week section. she advises to give the 9 weeks shots, then give the 14 week. then the 16-18 is optional. im already at 15 weeks, so if i wait one more week, ill be 16 weeks. from my past vet, and other sites, i have read its very important to have the puppy get the last shot at 16 weeks. im confused on whether i NEED three sets, or do i just NEED the last set to be after 16 weeks, or do i NEED the second one right now with the 3rd 16-18 week being optional(not NEEDED) as per her recommendation. |

Protocol is 3 series of shots. The shot at 16 weeks validates/solidifies the other two, giving them full immunitiy (whatever that is, because it's a known fact that even with innoculations that can still contract parvo, etc.). With a booster at 1 year and 4 months after the final vaccination.
