| Ooooh!! Thanks for posting this, Brit. I hadn't heard about this new variety. You know I'm an Acana fan, but I do like TOTW and am always on the lookout for foods without any chicken. And my babies really like TOTW, too. Hmmm, I wonder if my local store will be carrying this? I might just try it.

YT 2000 Club Member | I have put my dogs back on totw pacific stream and read a few weeks ago on their site that they had the new formula out. Im waiting for my local tractor supply to strat carrying it, my dogs prefer the lamb based foods over anything else so Im hoping they will take to this one. Im hoping tsc will start carrying it soon!

| This is an old thread I made but just wanted to say I went to the store the other day and picked up a bag of TOTW Sierra Mountain just for the heck of it. His Acana was nearly gone and wanted to try out this formula a while back but was always scared to because he got the runs from TOTW canned food once (it was a different formula). Anyways... for one, he LOVES the taste of it!! Two, the kibbles are not too small (he prefers larger kibbles). They are not huge or as big as Acana but still a good size. Third, his poops in the past 2 days have been great and smaller. So I'll let you know how it goes once the bag is done (I always keep an eye on his coat, his eyes, etc too). It's less calories (338 kcal/cup) than Acana (430 kcal/cup) so should I up his food amount???

| I'm glad you bumped this back up! We switched from Orijen Adult to TOTW Sierra Mountain (our non-Yorkie could not tolerate Orijen after the formula change). We switched probably two months ago, and we are loving it! It's the first TOTW formula we have tried. The biggest difference I noticed was a reduction in eye tearing - a totally unintended consequence, but I do appreciate it. I did up their food amount, but only slightly. Levi was usually eating 1/8 cup 2 times a day on Orijen. He's now eating 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/8 cup in the evening and his weight has been steady. He weighs a little over 5 pounds.

| Thx for the response! Yes Jackson could not tolerate the Orijen change either! It figures too because he had really loved the Regional Red and only got one bag of it before it changed. OK... Jackson was eating 1/2 cup of Acana kibble per day with a tablespoon of wet food in each meal (1/4 in AM, 1/4 in PM). Maybe I will just play it by ear and see if he still seems hungry, etc... or up to about 2/3 cup per day? I think 3/4 would be too much. The bag says 10-20lbs should be fed 3/4-1 1/3 cup per day but that would be WAY too much for him!

| The Orijen formula change didn't affect Levi at all (he has an iron gut!), but poor Dallas was all out of whack. So much for it being an easy transition between formulas. I was really disappointed because I love the company, but it just was not working for us at all anymore. We played it by ear to see how much to feed, and I'm pretty sure I'm still feeding a little less than the recommended amount. I remember his recommended amount being around 1/2 cup, but that seems like too much...he tends to get a lot of extras in addition to kibble: canned food or Honest Kitchen or dehydrated Stella and Chewy's or veggies, plus treats throughout the day. I just monitor his weight and constantly feel his ribs and spine. I'm glad to hear that Jackson liked it!

| Ms. Picky Princess loves this. I just bought a second bag. I feed her about a 1/2 cup a day on average, but it does vary a little both ways. I was looking for the lower calorie TOTW since she's put on some weight & this happened to be it...out of what was in the store anyways.

| So far so good. Today he didn't even have a soft/runny stool on our walk!! I had posted a thread about how he was getting occasional runny or soft poo but ONLY on our walks... apparently it's pretty normal so not too concerned but kind of nice that he had a super small, dark, compact easy to pick up poo that didn't even smell too terrible today on our walk too!
