| Health Insurance Hey guys. I've got another question for everyone! How do you feel about pet health insurance? I wonder if it is really necessary and if you think it is what company do you recommend? I've been researching it on my own but it all seems so complicated so if anyone has it/ has had it I'd like your advise. |

| My brother has pet insurance for his German Shepherd but it is through his work. I think pet insurance can be handy for "high-risk" pets. When I say high-risk, I think that if you knowingly adopt a dog that has a history of illness then it will probably save you $$$$ in the long run if something serious arises but I guess that would be applicable to any pet since even the most healthiest pets can sometimes face serious illness later on in life. If you have the money, I would say get pet insurance since this is a companion that you have for 10+ years and they are always going to be a factor when it comes to budgeting your expenses. I've looked up prices and it can be as low as $25 a month. Not bad IMO. If you don't have the extra money, I would just put aside a little jar and put emergency pet money into each month so that when something does happen, you are not completely unprepared. Hope this helps you! |

You could do a search on YT for all posts/threads that are about pet health insurance. There may be a "sticky" about the subject too.
