| Is comfortis okay? Went to get ralphie his wormshield medication and decided to try a new flea medication we used advantix 9 topical and he seemed sick with it. So Petsmart recommended comfortis. I just gave him his wormshield tonight. When and should I give him the comfortis? |

| Some dogs have had very bad reactions with Comfortis, while others have done just fine. If you decide to use it, I would keep a VERY close eye on my dog for a couple of days. You can google "comfortis reviews" for more info, and see other replies on yorkie talk on the subject: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=4563331

| I'd say you can give the Comfortis the next day. Comfortis is great you can buy a larger dose and cut it up. I've had three vets tell me this, always consult your vet before doing this thou. Although I am all about a holistic approach I live in Florida and lets get real. These bugs would survive an atomic bomb. |

| We use Comfortis. Our vet told us it was the only good option for girls. So far, we've had great results with it. I buy one pill and cut it in half. In order to get them to eat it, I have to wrap it in a small piece of Borden cheese so they can't smell it. |

| It's very new, so long-term reports are probably not available. This would definitely stop me form using it. There are rumors/reports online about it causing liver damage. The risks may or may not outweigh the benefits depending on your situation. In areas where fleas have become immune to other pesticides, you will likely need to use it; otherwise, I wouldn't until more info is available.

| Sorry, I made a typo and said "girls" instead of "our girls". Didn't mean to be confusing, lol. |
