| I think some people think kibble is better and some think canned is better (and some think homecooked is better and some think raw is better). If your Yorkie is doing well on kibble, then there really is not need to change. I'd be more concerned about the company that whether it's kibble or canned. You will hear that canned causes dental disease or at the least, kibble helps keep plaque off the tetth. I am not going to say this is wrong. I'll just say reliable sources say otherwise. I like canned for the moisture content, but that's me.

| Is it untrue that kibble doesn't help reduce plaque and tartar? I feed wet occasionally as a treat, but always before a bath because their faces always get in it and get stinky lol |

| Kibble cleaning teeth is a myth. It's the same as us chewing up crackers and expecting that to clean our teeth. It just packs in and causes tartar, build up, bad breath, decay. Dogs don't "chew" their food. They don't have molars like we do to grind with. Their teeth are made to slice through foods, to rip and tear, crunch and swallow. Not to eat cereal, which is what kibble is like. Canned is much healthier for their teeth than kibble. Here's a good site on nutrition and talks about the teeth cleaning myths ... | homemade raw here I agree that you'll receive lots of opinions I choose a well balanced homemade raw diet. Bailey is three years with no tarter. She poops once a day and I am confident about the ingredients and preparation. Lots of opinions here and lots of good advice. Good luck!
