| Fleas We came to south Florida for a vacation and our Yorkie picked up fleas, although she had a dose of Advantix 3 days before we came. I have been fine combing her, treated all the upholstered furniture, washed bedding and did all the suggested treatment options except spray outdoors. She has had a second dose of Advantix and it is 19 days since she got it. I find a few live fleas and eggs each time I comb her, and I comb her three, sometimes four times a day. I wash the bedding each night, hers and ours and am at my wits end. Any suggestions? thanks |

| First off any of the flea and tick chemicals are very harmful to pets, and don't work as they should anyway. Next, I find that dogs who eat dog food are the ones who are at risk for contacting fleas and a slew of medical problems. I have two 5 year olds and one 2 year old that have never had a flea and have never had any medications. I'm into holistic, not chemical. I home cook and I also give them HEALTHY POWDER, which has yeast flakes. Here is some ideas at keeping fleas off: Chinaroad Lowchens of Australia - Ticks, fleas, bees, flies, snakes and other gremlins! And how to deal with them! I very highly recommend a book by Ann N. Martin, FOOD PETS DIE FOR. She's had the dog food companies in and out of court for over 7 years. She has proof and pictures on the rendering plants. Not a pretty picture to say the least.

| Hartz ultra guard, from Walmart, is what I've used for the past eight years and have never seen a flea since. We travel alot, Florida included and this stuff has always worked so well I've never even thought of changing. Great stuff I would highly recommend. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I saw a flea on Thor one time and used Frontline - that seemed to be enough. I don't know much about the different brands, but they do specialize in different things. Is it possible that Advantix just kills fleas on contact? Maybe you can ask your vet if Advantix is the right treatment. Also, I've read that if you have fleas, you should vacuum like crazy - I guess the movements prompts eggs to hatch, so you can kill them right away, rather than have them lurking for months and then bringing on another infestation. Do you have another "vector" in your house? Another pet, maybe? |

| We live in Florida, this is by far the best product we discovered for FLEAS. Best Yet It's completely safe and all natural... You can even use it as furniture polish, that's how safe it is. |
