| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I may contact her later on to get one of the step in's for the little one. She's 6mo old now and 3 pounds, we don't think she will get much bigger.

| Another super big plus for harnesses: definitely the best if you have to get your little one out of harm's way in a hurry! ie: unexpected loose dog on a walk that comes barreling towards you! Just be sure they are fitted to your dog first.

| Harnesses for us. I usually use vest type of harnesses although I have a couple of step in like ones that I use when it is really hot out.

| YT 500 Club Member | I couldn't agree more, at one time vets were happy to point people in the dirrection of experienced dog breeders to give help and avise on breeds. These days they seam to egnore the years of learning and experience as it doesn't put money in their pockets. I read on another forum that one vet [old fashioned] in this country feels ashamed to tell people of his chosen proffession due to the greed of many of his fellow vets. |

I had the Step In but like the Roman better. But which ever you chose I think they would fit a 3 lb pup. I get mine on ebay.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'll have to find a photo of a "Roman" harness. My Yorkie is big enough to wear a regular harness so I haven't done alot of exploring. She has a mesh one for summer and a heavier one for winter. But this little 3# baby girl needs a good safe harness too. Thanks.

Dog Harnesses - makes, models and colors explained I also prefer the roman style harnesses over the step-in.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | HARNESS! When we 1st got Tuffy we unknowingly bought him a roman style harness but as soon as I found the choke free I ordered it. He's 1 of the unlucky who suffer from collapsed trachea syndrome so it was very important to avoid anything that may constrict his breathing. Our vet put him on amoxicillin for a week & we finished that off 3 days ago. He still hacks & honks every other day or so but we're hoping he'll get better now that we know why it was happening & how to hopefully avoid it as much as possible.

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Thanks for the link there are so many types to consider. I know we want one that stays away from her tiny neck.
