For parents who's babies have LP... I think I read that if they have LP their feet rotate outwards too? Is that correct? Uni is grade 3. It was much more noticable when I put on her shoes. I kept thinking the shoes are STILL too big and are rotating on her. But nope, her feet point outwards (just like mommy's  ). I would say maybe about 30 degrees? less than 45 degrees for sure, but noticable. Without shoes she is too furry to really notice the positioning of the feet. |
I don't know if I can offer any help her other than Hot Rod whole leg was kinda out of whack when he had his lp. His leg was actually bowed outward. I can't say if his little foot was pointed outward or not. |
Yeah I keep hearing "bowed" out, that makes me think like a cowboy, knees out, but her knees are straight ahead and her ankles and feet are pointed outwards. |
Buster has LP and his legs are very bowed. Can you say cowboy? Poor baby. It is very noticable when his hair is short (as it is most of the time). I'm sure the people that don't know he has LP wonders what is wrong with him. I don't care, I love him. |
Daisy had grade 4 LP as a puppy and had corrective surgery. She walked like a cowboy. Actually more like a frog. She has a grade 3 in the other leg and still walks a little like a cowgirl but for the most part we keep her rested if it acts up. Barney has a grade 1, he walks normally. |
Well she walks normally, I just notice her feet point outwards. Since they point outwards then the angle of the sole of her shoes will not be making good contact with the ground. |
