| eating grass Does anyone have a problem with their yorkie's eating grass. Jada is 2 and she will eat sometimes, but my biewer Bogie( 10 mos.) wants to eat grass every time we go outside. Should I be concerned? I try not to be a worrier but I can't help it. Just want to know if this is normal. I had a Jack Russell who ate grass all the time and he never threw up or anything and so far Jada and Bogie haven't thrown up from eating it either. |

| Dogs will either eat grass to make themselves throw up- if their belly's are bothering them, that's what they will do.....or sometimes they just eat it to eat it! I just recentley noticed Fiona chopping away on my boyfriend's grass when she is out there. I wouldn't worry about it too much!

YT Addict | Pebbles eats grass every time she is outside it drives me crazy. She has never thrown up any grass either. My Lhasa also eats grass but he always throws up he has a very sensitive tummy. I always try and discourage it but like I say to my DH I think our two dogs are part cows, I stop walking and they start grazing.

| I've actually been told that they don't eat it to throw up but because it tastes good to them. If they eat too much or have sensitive stomachs it can make them throw up. I don't know if thats 100% accurate but it's what i've been told. My Jack russel eats it ALL the time. It's annoying but she rarely gets sick from it. |

That's what I heard too. It's just a little "salad" to them. Matty eats grass once in a while but never does it make her sick.

YT 2000 Club Member | dogs dont eat grass to throw up, they eat it because they like it.. if my dogs threw up every time they ate grass, they would be dehydrated.. they eat at least a peice every time we go outside. I wouldnt let them eat a ton of it, but a peice here or there is fine.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I hope this doesn't make you sick but... My puppies eat hay. When I feed my rabbits both puppies are never far away and they'll snatch some up when they can. This may be too much info but I had to pull it out of Jonah's bum one morning....uggh! Now that was just wrong!!! It was so long, he must have sucked it down like a noodle...yuck! I know, yuck! Oh, I wore rubber gloves...
