Probiotics We took our Grace in yesterday because she had loose mucusy stools for almost a week. Ended up walking out of there with some probiotics for the next week. We have tried yogurt in the past and she gets an upset tummy from it. So a pill or other kind of supplement would be better I think. Does anyone use probiotics on a regular basis? What do you use? |
We have been using probiotics for the past year (along with other supplements as well) because of Sissy's digestive disorder. Angel gets them along with Sissy as a preventative measure. We order ours from Holistic Veterinarian Pet Nutritionist Holistic Pet Care as this is the only one I've seen that can site testing where exposure to high heat for several days did not change the molecular make-up of the product. The price is reasonable as you only use one a day. We open them and sprinkle on their food - but we also use The Honest Kitchen which when rehydrated is the consistency of canned food. Did your vet test for parasites? What kind-of food are you using and has she had any other symptoms? |
K9 Granola makes a great supplement. My york had intestinal surgery and it helps big time. The are easy to eat and taste yummy. K9 Granola Factory - SUPPLEMENTS |
Layla gets probiotics regularly- well i've been slacking lately, but she is supposed to get them twice daily. We get ours from Ask Ariel Your Pet Nutritionist and sprinkle it on her food in the morning and night. I've noticed since she's been on them (since... January I believe) that she has not had many bad poops. |
I love probiotics for dogs :). I use this one, which also contains digestive enzymes: Nature's Farmacy - Store - Product Details |
