What dog food do you use? Just curious about what dog food to use and wondering what everyone here uses on their Yorkies? I'm trying to decide what will be best for my puppy Karlee, she comes home tomorrow and I'm making a trip to Petco wondered those that use Petco for supplies what would be best to get? I just want my girl to be healthy and not start out making the wrong choice with her food! Thanks!!!!:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
I'm currently using Innova Evo and plan on rotating between that, Orijen and Taste of the Wild. Sasha is doing wonderful on the Evo. I don't believe Petco sells any of these brands though. It would be best to locate a pet specialty shop in your area to locate some of the higher quality foods. You can even go to the brands website and you can locate what stores in your area sell that particular brand. If you plan on going to Petco, some good foods they sell there are Natural Balance, Solid Gold, Wellness and Blue Buffalo. |
I feed Primal Raw right now. If you're looking for a kibble from Petco...maybe Wellness? If you can get to a "pet food boutique/feed store", then maybe Orijen, Innova, Solid Gold? |

I feed Nature's Variety raw medallions and Instinct kibble. If you're looking for something you can get at Petco though, others have mentioned Wellness & Solid Gold. The only other food they carry that I would say to look at would be Natural Balance. Out of the 3, I'd probably have to choose Wellness. |
I currently feed EVO. At Petco, I'd recommend wellness. |

That's too bad about the NV, though. I ran out of raw earlier in the week and my guys acted like they were being abused & starved!! |

Do you know what the pup has been eating? I had to wean Jonah onto Ksena's brand which is Pro Plan. |
Jackson eats Innova currently. The regular adult kibble. He does very well on it. If you have to shop at Petco, I'd recommend Wellness, Natural Balance or Solid Gold first. Then they also have Blue Buffalo, Halo and Dog Whisperer food. www.dogfoodanalysis.com has a lot of info. |
