| Boy's Personality after being Neutered It's time! Baxter is getting neutered on Apr. 24. I was just curious if his personality is supposed to change at all. I know with my male cat, he became a lot calmer and even a little more cuddly. Baxter is already cuddly enough, but I was just wondering if his overall demeanor will be change at all? Did any of your yorkies undergo a small, or even big, personality change?

| I really didn't notice any difference when Samson was neutered, he humped a little less but her personality was the same. Harley will get fixed in May and I am hoping he calms down. He can be aggressive and alpha like. the vet says it sometimes calms them down but it isn't a hard and fast rule.

I really am interested in this though. If Ben continues with this new marking thing he has started since the puppies came.... he may lose a little something!

| Oscar's personality didn't change, but it became more toned down-- he wasn't as hyper after he was neutered. He also completely stopped humping and marking instantly.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Actually if you get them neutered early enough, their personalities don't change. It's almost like you keep them little boys, instead of allowing them to become teenagers. People see more changes if they don't get them neutered.

| Couver got neutered last Monday (~9 days ago) and I have noticed a huge change in his marking and humping... he is slowly losing interest in humping more and more each day. He is just as cuddly as before, if not more. He has also toned down his excitement when seeing other dogs (he used to get SOOO excited, and freak out when seeing other dogs). Today he sniffed a dog, and kept walking I am definitely happy with my decision to neuter him! The dog park trips are a lot less embarassing trying to pull him off of other dogs

| Thanks everyone for the replies! Baxter turned six months old today and probably ways around six or seven pounds. I was hoping he would calm down some... he doesn't hump at all, but he does like to mark outside, which I don't mind, because he doesn't bring it into the house. He likes to bark at other people and other dogs and gets really hyper when seeing someone new. But it sounds like each dog is different, so hopefully everything will go okay!
