Where can I get Yogurt drops? Where can I get these? Did a search on YT, & some say they bought it at Petsmart. I checked the site, & they have yogurt chips & drops, but are for small animals like rabbits & hamsters. Are these the ones you give to your yorkies as treats? Love to get some...just have no idea where. Also, we don't have Stonefield plain yogurt here, so is Yoplait low fat yogurt ok (no artificial sweetener)? or is Danon Activia better? |
I bought my Vitakraft Yogurt drops at Petsmart. They are the same brand as the ones for hamsters and such but they have different ones for dogs. Here is a link: Vitakraft Drops Dog Treats - Treats & Biscuits - Dog - PetSmart If you look toward the bottom it says: Available in three flavors: Yogurt, Peanut, and ChocoMilk. As for the yogurt -- I would try not to use the low fat. |
Thank you Debra!:D No lowfat yogurt? Why? Should it be no fat? Sorry, so many questions. Maybe I should just give them the yogurt drops...since I know now where to get them.:p |
i used to buy them in the treat aisle at petsmart. |
I found mine at Petco... they even have chocolate flavor. My doggy loves them... but I don't give her many. |
drops I didnt think we could give chocolate?? I give Abbey Banana chips..she loves them..in the produce aisle at grocery..think I also foun the yo drops in baby aisle at walmart? |
I get mine at Petsmart as well. You might want to check the store, they do not always have all their products available online. |
Treats The best treat I have found are pineapple chips which have no fat. The big PLUS is my doggie loves them and now she doesn't eat her poop. I was going to get banana chips, but they had 10 grams of fat. |
Low fat doesn't have the same nutrition. Full fat yogurt still only has like 8 grams of fat in it for a whole 8 oz. container of plain, and your little one won't eat near that. I figure puppies are like children and children need fat to build brain cells. The doc always told me NOT to give my kids the low fat milk, make it whole milk, cause they need the fat. So, I buy the whole milk yogurt if I am going to feed it to my dogs or pups. It probably is not that big a deal though, just personal preference. |
Ive gotten them at Kmart, Pets supply plus and Petsmart |
I got yogurt drops at PetsMart also and my baby loved them. How should one feed their dog yogurt? I'm always looking for a treat or supplement! TIA. |

"It turns out that, for dogs, a chemical in chocolate called theobromine is the source of the problem. Theobromine is similar to caffeine. According to this page, theobromine is toxic to a dog when it ingests between 100 and 150 milligrams per kilogram of body weight. Different types of chocolate contain different amounts of theobromine: It would take 20 ounces of milk chocolate to kill a 20-pound dog, but only 2 ounces of baker's chocolate or 6 ounces of semisweet chocolate. It is not that hard for a dog to get into something like an Easter basket full of chocolate eggs and bunnies and gobble up a pound or two of chocolate. If the dog is small, that could be deadly. " I am going to guess the small amount of cocoa powder in a few of the little yogurt drops are not going to contain much if any of the theobromine. But it is a good quote to review since this is EASTER MORNING! Happy Easter! |
