Kibble suggestions for picky eater please I'm going crazy trying to find a quality food that JoJo will actually eat! He ate Blue Buffalo chicken/brown rice from 8 weeks until about a month and a half ago when he suddenly decided he didn't like it anymore. Since then, I've tried so many different foods, and he refuses to eat any of them! I've tried: - Merrick Puppy Plate (never ate a morsel) - Solid Gold Wee Bit (took a few bites and refused to eat any more) - California Natural Chicken & Rice (never touched it) - EVO red meat small bites (ate a bit, gave him horrible, super stinky and dark diarrhea, and didn't touch it again) Now, luckily, the Sold Gold, California Natural & EVO were all samples (I was given about 5 packets of each from my doggie daycare place), so I haven't been wasting money, thankfully. Someone recommended to just keep giving him the same thing, and eventually he'll be so hungry he'll just eat it, and get used to it. But he won't! He'll go a whole day, even 2 days without eating, and I can't let him starve! I know he's hungry, because whenever I'm preparing food for myself he's begging for food and going crazy! I'm open to any suggestions for my picky eater! |
Have you tried Orijen? It's kind of hard to find, but it's a great quality food. 6 stars on dogfoodanalysis.com The kibbles can be a little larger than some of the other puppy foods, but most dogs really like it. It is 75% meat protein and the other 25% is fruit/vegetables. NO grains at all. It is very highly rated and I have yet to meet a puppy who didn't like it! It might be worth a try. :) |
I know what u are going thru. Molly would do the same thing eat it for a few days or maybe a week or so then nope not going to eat that anymore. She is finally eating royale canin for yorshire an had stayed on it for awhile. Thank goodness our pet store took back some of my bags of food. I think u just half to find something they like . It isn`t easy. Molly will not eat dog food out of a can. So i cook for her. Not spoiled is she ?? |
