| Neutering.. Baxter was supposed to get neutered tomorrow, but instead I'm going to the Braves game in Atlanta. I sort-of chickened out. But he's going to get it done on April 25th. I didn't realize how nervous I was until today when I thought Baxter was going to get it done tomorrow. I know it's best for him, but I just keep thinking about all the bad things that could happen. Anyways, I guess I'm writing this for a little reassurement. Oh, and now I will be leaving Baxter alone for nine hours!!! Two of my roommates won't be here, and my one roommate with the dog has to work all day. I'm going to leave Bax in my bathroom like I do when I work. I hate it, but I guess he needs to learn, right?

| I was a vet tech for 7 yrs, and I assisted with neuters and spays every day of the week. Neutering is such an easy surgery that he will be fine. When Fiona got spayed I was a nervous wreck too, but make sure you get bloodwork done prior so they can make sure he is alright. He will do fine! Good Luck!!!!!!

| Jackson was supposed to get neutered today too..... and I chickened out and canceled! I was in South Carolina from Monday-Thursday and didn't want to bring him on my first real day back home, ya know? I would feel too bad.

| Yeah I chickened out too. Zeus was scheduled for the 14th of April and I pushed it back to May 5. No rush right? Besides my reasoning was his baby teeth have yet to come out. That's my story and I am sticking to it. |

| I was really nervous the day of the neuter, but Chase was a champ and got through it fine. He was a little groggy the same night, but by the next day it was like nothing had happened. I'm sure your little one will pull through just fine as well! Just try to keep your self busy during the day so you won't get too anxious.

| Aw, I was super nervous too... before the day came, I was halfway looking forward to spending some time with my DH, alone, no puppy to worry about. But then that day, when Nikko was gone, all either of us could do was worry and stress about him. Fortunately, everything turned out completely fine - as it does the VAST VAST majority of the time. Getting the bloodwork done is important, and as long as you do that, you shouldn't have to worry at all (but I know, you will - like I did - worry anyways). Nikko came home happy and safe, maybe napped a little extra on the first day, but after that he couldn't understand why we didn't want him to run around like his normal little wildman self while he "healed." The sooner you do it, the sooner it will be over with... It's only been about a month since Nikko was neutered, and we've already noticed him calming down a little bit. Barking less maniacially at other dogs, cuddling with us more often, sleeping through the night with us more often, etc. He seems more content... which makes me really happy. :-) Lauren & Nikko |

| Thanks guys! I feel loads better already! I wish I could have gotten him done today, but I really wanted to go this game! LOL. My boyfriend was happy that Baxter didn't get it done today, but Baxter will get it done on April 24th-25th. My roommate's dad is doing the surgery, and I know Baxter will be in the best possible hands.

| You're just worrying like any normal mommy does. I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine! It's such a common thing. Enjoy the game!! |
