Yorkie Talker | Harley won't eat My Harley is 1 yr old. He refuses any type of dog food. Dry or can. Any brand. I have tried toppings, cheese, yorgurt mixed with his dry. He will eat fresh cooked meat and some veggies. He weighs 2lbs including his harness and leach. I tried to wait him out several times. hoping if he was hungry enough that he would eat the dog food. he didn't and got so weak that he could not stand up. I could even hear his little stomach growling. When he does eat, I have to hand feed him. He is healthy with no problems just picky. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

| Finicky! My little guy will be 1 yr. old next week and is also an extremely finicky eater! He comes running when he hears the packaging but the minute the food is served he smells it, backs up a few feet and looks at me like I'm crazy!! And if he does eat it when I'm not looking - brands he ate last week he won't touch this week! Have tried canned, dry kibble, little meal servings, countless brands and there just doesn't seem to be any that excite him. He will gobble down my friends mutt's Alpo moist & meaty but I don't think that is too healthy for my Yorkie. |

| I've tried several dry foods, just money wasted! Tried wet foods, will sometimes eat Ceasars but most of the time leaves it! She has become very aggressive over her food and snacks which really upsets me! I want a sweet, loving dog not one that scares my grandkids! She will eat people food! I want a dry food preferably that she will eat every time so I don't worry about her! She's made it very difficult come feeding time! The cats come down and try to eat her food that I leave for her! |

Any type of aggression may be a sign of not enough training on your part - you could consider enrolling her in a dog obedience training course. It's a good way to learn what things you are inadvertently doing that may cause your dog to become aggressive with her food. But based on your post, I would make sure the cats cannot access the area in which your dog eats. If your dog fears that the cats will eat her food, it's a natural response to become aggressive.
