| Anyone heard of Neutersol? Have any of you ever heard of Neutersol? It's a chemical injection for sterilizing young male dogs...supposedly with minimal side affects. If anyone has heard of it or used it I'd like to know how your dog did with it and if you were happy with the end results. I'm not one for over vacinating or getting carried away with chemicals in food so a chemical neuter kind of raised my eyebrows...but...I'm wondering if this could be a solution to placing a male puppy rather than surgical neuter before they leave or a neuter contract that is not always honored. |

| While Neutersol makes a male infertile, it only reduces testosterone levels by about 50%. As a result, it doesn't prevent undesirable sex linked traits like marking, roaming, mounting, etc. Here are a bunch of links for you: Chemical Neutering with Neutersol A One-Shot Deal? http://www.caribbeananimalwelfare.or...FAQ_CAWC08.pdf |

| I had never heard of it, but did a quick Google search, & don't like it. It causes testicles & prostate to shrivel, & may not completely eliminate testosterone production. Also, may have to administer under anethesia. I recall a "Me or the Dog" episode where chemical castration was used to try to settle a dog, & it didn't work long term if I remember correctly.

| I don't like the sound of it, but don't know much about it. I would really have my doubts about using something like that...... especially when few people have experience with it.
