| Double Canines My Ella has double canines and is going under to have them removed on the 23rd of this month. I'm a little nervous about what to expect after and was wondering.............Has anyone else's dog experienced this surgery and how long for them to recover?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | The recovery time is zilch...other than recovering from anesthesia...the tooth removal really doesn't phase them. Good luck Ella.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When my Pixie has some permanent teeth removed a few months ago she came home and started chewing on a hoof! She wasn't in any pain and acted fine.

| Sorry to jump in on your conversation....i have a almost 7mo old and I'm wondering how long does it take for the baby teeth to come out? I was playing with him Sunday and a small front one came out that has been giving him trouble for the past couple weeks??? He was nutered at 5 mo and the person i go thim from didn't have the remaining baby teeth removed.. I just hope I won't have to put him through a unnecesaary proceedure that IMO should have been done at the saem time as nutering... Looking at the oldest they should be before making teh decision so we won't be left dealing with gum disease or other oral issues either... THANKS

| Baxter is 12 months old and having at least one baby canine removed Thursday. I don't know if he has any more to remove or not. He's also having the rest of his teeth cleaned. I was also wondering if I would need to get any soft food or anything for him. |

| My baby had to have 5 baby teeth removed at 7 months - including his baby canines. His werent falling out and were causing him to have HORRIBLE breath - he looked to have two rows of teeth. I had him neutered at the same time and he was himself quickly. He was chewing on my fingers the same day. He did seem to lick his chops more for 2 days but didnt seem to be in any pain. He ate just fine, he is on a soft food diet, but the fact he had an appetite right away was good.

| Retained puppy teeth happen all the time..the surgery is no big deal really and they usually don't even put them under as much as they do for say a spay. The teeth come out really easy unlike adult teeth as they don't have the deep roots.

| Ella will be fine as soon as the anesthesia is fully out of her little body. She won't even know the difference.
