Best treat for teeth? I am looking for a treat of some kind that I can Give Dusty to help with his teeth. I try to brush them with every bath but he really hates it so, I want to give hi a treat that will help with in between brushing. Now here is my problem. He can not have anything with Wheat, corn or, by products. He has VERY sensitive skin and those product are a big no no. I have looked everywhere please help. |
I like Flossies made by Merrick. Bully sticks are good also, but they are more smelly. These are all natural.....not raw hide which is a choking hazard and can cause intestinal blockage. |
lexi gets bully sticks... i think they help. shes never without one if she wants it.. |
wait a minute.... bully stix help keep their teeth healthy n clean??? i never knew that!! that's great cuz Abby has at least one in all the houses we go to.. |
Well I'm glad to hear that. I sure don't want to give most of the things on the market for my little one and get them tummy problems. I hate the greenies and the raw hides. So what is the bully stix made out of ? Anyone know? |

I also use flossies by Merrick. Go to Merrick.com and you can order a bunch at a time. My Toby loves them and they are all natural. It's actually a beef tendon in a spiral. They also have other all natural. products. Good luck. Scoop |
I feed mine a raw diet and they get bone in chicken drumsticks and thighs and the raw bone does wonders for their teeth. You can't give cooked bones but raw are good for them to chew on and they love the marrow. |
Flossies by Merrick and Bullys are good, however most of them are treated with a smokey flavor and many pups are sensitive to that. Find Bully's that are completely natural without any added flavor (PM me if you'd like). There is absolutely no smell at all, which means nothing added!!! |
i would only hope they help their teeth.. i would imagine the grinding on the stick would help with the plaque, but who knows.. for me, when lexi finishes her home cooked meal, she runs for the bully stick as its like a toothpick for her.. i think... |
Teeth Aiden loves the Bully sticks alos. What is the best thing for bad breath????? |
I like the hooves at upco.com...(I think that's where they came from..I'll double check) I don't think the flossies are real good at cleaning their teeth. Abby and Daisy always get stuff in their facial hair from them, so I can imagine that there's stuff left on their teeth as well. Plus, the last ones we got stunk to high heaven! I don't know if it was a bad batch or what. |

Thanks so much. I will try and find the Flossies & bully stick's. If I get the all natural without flavers will it help his breath? I Know I need to brush his teeth everyday but, he really hates it & I dont like to stress him out. |
