my groomer ruined my pup! I took chewy to the groomer and not only did they cut off ALL his hair when i asked for a trim...but he has really bad razer burn on his belley, and he has been doing 'the army crawl' to scratch it...someone suggested neosporin...is that okay to put on my dog? |
I am sorry that happened. Yes neosporin is fine to put on it |
Sorry they did this to him Thank goodness it will grow again, although it makes me so mad when they don't listen to us. Sheilagh |
if you just want it trimmed tell them to use scissors only you cannot trim with clipper blades and razor burn is most likely from him being wiggly and the blde got to close to his skin you can put neosporin on it but he will probably lick it off he will be ok but they did tell you befor you left right? if any mistakes happen which they can the owners should be informed of them. |
You could also use vasoline. If he licks it it will be ok. That too is a healer. I use it on Buddy's paws at least once a week and I see him lick. No problem I am sorry your guy went through a rough time. Have you thought about grooming yourself? It can be done, belive me. You will get lot's of help from those who do on YT. |
no they didnt even tell me! and i was so upset about his hair! i paid a lot of money to get that done, and it was nothing like i asked...with what i asked there should have been about 2 inches left on him, and he is down to about 1/4in...and the razer burn is pretty bad...do u think i should call and complain? i mean, i spent money to get a service that i did not recieve! |

Of course you should let them know you are not happy with the cut and also the burn on your pet's tummy. It is possible other's have also experienced the same and complained. You never know. You paid for a service that you did not receive and you have a right to tell them. Don't be shy, it was your money. Also mention if there is a problem with the burn and you have to go to the vet's they will get the bill! That's only fair. |
Iam so sorry your baby receveid a bad cut:( I would call and complain:mad: hope he feels better very soon. |
Funny title I couldn't help but laugh when I read "the groomer ruined my puppy". I would definately complain. This is why I do mine myself. Of courde they don't look very professional but some of the grooming jobs I've seen don't either. The price is definately right too. He will grow out before you know it. His poor belly will heal, just keep an eye on it so he doesn't develop a secondary infection. |
Im typically a hard liner on everything i do and if the time ever comes when something like that happens ill be throwing threats around that establishment until i get lifetime grooming for free, my money back and free treatment for the burns and at least a 60% discount on whatever they sell or else the dirty word lawsuit would come out of my mouth real quick. you tell them to trim they should trim, not decapitate. Id tell them you are getting a lawyer and see what they do. |
abbey's grooming nightmare took Abbey for her 2nd trim..1st was fantastic..owner did it picke her up and I had said ONLY a trim they elec clipped her ear hair:mad: and didnt notice until home they cut her side..have been putting ointment on it..they gave me alot of cards to hand out...but Im going to mail back with a note of disgust:thumbdown |
