What do you think of Timber Wolf dog food? What do you guys think of Timber Wolf dog food. Went to the feed store to pick up more dog food and saw it. The ingredients look great, very high in protien (32 % I think). Is 32 % min. protien too high? It is an all stages life food. Anyone feed this?

Once daily, they also get Avenger's canned 100% rabbit, duck or buffalo mixed with Missing Link and a few drops of Kayro light syrup... (the Kayro seems to "sweeten up" the bitterness of the Missing Link). They have an abundance of energy, bright, clear eyes, great digestion - good stools, their coats are fast growing and thick... and they have "puppy breath" again!! haha... no more "monster mouth"...

I am trying to find the right food for my puppy.... we went to the dog health food store yesterday and the woman let Jacoby try a sample of Timberwolf Elk dry food and he loved it. I wasn't sure what to get him..i bought a trial size of Orijen because it supposed to be a really good food, but Jacoby doesn't really like it.... so I guess I have to go back to the store and get him Timberwolf!!

YT 3000 Club Member | Chester was on timber wolf for a short time, and all he did was poop, I think it has too much stuff in it for him. The one thing that bothers me about timberwolf is when all this pet food stuff was going on, they would not say who done their dry food. Most of the dry dog food makers who said who done their food, so another reasons why I quit feeding it to chester. Do they have something to hide, that bothered me. He does much better on solid gold and their customer service is awesome. |

Timberwolf Dog Food My Yorkie Wyland, is VERY finicky, but he loves the Timberwolf Wild and Natural Dry grain free. Being that it is 32% in protein, that is a little high to be feeding all the time. It was suggested to me that I only give him this at his morning feeding which I do and his morning portion of feeding is less than what he gets in the evening. I put the little kibbles into a kong so he has to work at getting them out and he loves the hunt and game of it! In the evening I feed him Hill's Prescription T/D which is lower in protein and provides better oral care. I have to chop up the kibbles though as he doesn't seem to like the size. I mix in a little of either cooked chicken, pork, steak and sometimes a tiny bit of chicken liver. He loves the Hill's Prescription T/D big bites however when they are in a treat ball and he has to work at getting them out. Then he will eat the large pieces, but not in his meal! Go figure! Good luck. It is always a never ending battle on trying to compare and figure out what is best for our little guys!

I've never tried Timberwolf, but from the sounds of it, it seems like dogs like it. I, like mom2baby, feed TOTW. My dog's done great on it since, so I haven't had to try anything else.
